Al Fresco Plant Based Dinner at Jane Q

Jane Q, the all-day eatery located at the Kimpton Everly Hotel in Hollywood, will be hosting an al fresco plant based dinner, featuring a six course menu by executive chef Bryan Podgorski. Taking place on the Everly’s skyline sundeck. The menu will include dishes such as: Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho with lime crema;“Baked” Hass Avocado with spiced cashew cheese;Niçoise Salad with confit new crop potatoes, glazed pole beans, and sauce vierge;Frog Hallow Peaches with Brentwood corn, garden tarragon, tartelette; and“Whole” roasted ratatouille with green + gold zucchini, eggplant, tomato sofrito and garden basil. $55, $30/wine pairing, $15/non-alcoholic pairing; Saturday, 6 pm; 1800 Argyle Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028

Pain Pizza Pop Up at Birds & Bees

LA’s Pain Pizza is returning to DTLA’s underground cocktail lounge Birds & Bees for the ultimate night out with a delicious combination of cocktails and pizza. Cheese, pepperoni, and Standing’s Butchery sausage French bread pizzas on Bub & Grandma’s baguettes will be served! As you indulge, sip on the specialty cocktail from Bar Manager Jake Larowe. Jake will be serving a delicious Lambrusco cocktail for the pop up with Hendricks gin, mezcal, lime, brown sugar simple syrup, lemon, spicy tincture, oregano, garnished with a slice of pepperoni, lime & oregano sprig. Wirtshaus Turns Eight

Wirtshaus brewery and beer garden are celebrating with birthday goodies and games. There will be Oktoberfest-inspired stein-holding competition, brewery swag, giveaways, food and drink specials, and the tapping of Wirtshaus’ ceremonial birthday keg (3 pm). Downtown’s holiday-themed pop-up, Blitzen’s, is returning at Here and Now. This time around, it’s Christmas in July.
