Lost at Sea Launches Sunday Night Prix-Fixe Menu
This month, Pasadena’s modern seafood restaurant launches a three-course Sunday night prix-fixe menu featuring classics and seasonal favorites from the dinner menu. Current offerings include: Early Fall Salad with apple, pomegranate, mustard frill, pistachio, pecorino, and golden balsamic; Tomato + Mushroom Soup with crème fraiche, crouton, and lobster broth; NZ King Salmon with zucchini, tomato, squash, and salsa amarilla; and Barramundi with delicata squash, kale, dandelion greens, tarragon fumet, prosciutto. $35; Sundays, 5:30 pm-close; 57 E. Start the Weekend Early at The Mar Vista
The team at The Mar Vista is adding three new ways to celebrate the best that Southern California has to offer. Love uni? Get to The Mar Vists for Uni Thursdays, where Chef D. Brandon Walker, Chef Jill Davie, and Chef Jorge Rivas present rotating dishes like uni deviled eggs and uni pasta highlighting the fresh seafood from Santa Barbara. If uni isn’t your thing, swing by for Spiny Lobster Fridays. With the season in full swing and a fisherman who is delivering crustaceans straight from the sea to the kitchen, the executive chefs honor local lobsters every Friday night. Dishes available include Lobster Dynamite, with poached lobster tails mixed with shiitake mushrooms, shrimp, and house made dynamite sauce stuffed into the lobster shell and topped with their signature lemonaise. Eat Pizza. Drink Beer. Save the Planet at Café Gratitude
$2 for every Giving Pizza and every Long Root Ale sold in November will be donated to Kiss the Ground and Tehachapi Heritage Grain Project and to help farmers in California integrate regenerative agricultural practices. Café Gratitude’s Giving Pizza and Patagonia Provisions’ Long Root Ale are both made with Kernza, a perennial grain grown using regenerative agricultural practices, which supports the reversal of climate change by restoring soil biodiversity and sequestering carbon, without the use of use of chemicals, fertilizers or tilling.

Pizza + Beer Festival
Experience unlimited tastings of pizza from some of the top restaurants & food trucks in Southern California as well as unlimited tastings of craft beer from local and regional breweries. While sampling beer and pizza, make sure to stop by our boutique vendors where you can purchase original art. Fall Beer & Wine Block Party
Try gourmet samples from The Front Yard’s executive chef, Larry Greenwood, while also sipping on some of California’s best brews and wines. The Lagunitas Beer Circus
Check out two stages of entertainment! Indie Chefs Week LA
Ten chefs from across the country will each take one course of the opening night prix fixe menu of Indie Chefs Week at The Rose Cafe. Centennial Celebration: 7th Street Produce Market

Originally known as the L.A. Terminal Market, the historic 7th Street Produce Market celebrates 100 years this weekend. The site (has Smorgasburg LA on Sundays) has grown from horse-drawn carriages to now a modern fresh food mecca. Celebrate with live entertainment, performers, select offerings from Smorgasburg as well as strolling through 30 unique and independent brands housed at ROW DTLA. WRDSMTH’s Solo Show

Grand Ave Arts: All Access

Now in its third year, Grand Ave Arts: All Access returns for a daylong, culture-filled event that showcases some of the best aspects of Los Angeles’ arts scene. DTLA’s cultural institutions—including The Broad, Center Theatre Group, Colburn School, Grand Park, L.A. Central Library, L.A. Chamber Orchestra, L.A. Master Chorale, L.A. Opera, L.A. Philharmonic, MOCA, the Music Center and REDCAT—open their doors for a free day fun. We are officially in the holiday season.
