Marcel Vigneron’s New Happy Hour Menu at Wolf
Featuring some of the most popular dishes from the restaurant, the happy hour snacks and beverage offerings will be available daily. Snacks include Beet It made with yuzu berries, plums, persimmons, almond, goat cheese snow, and hearts of fire; Kale-ing the Game made with pickled asian pear, dried apricot, cucumber, almond dressing, and crispy quinoa; Adult Tater Tots made with aji amarillo aioli , cilantro, and seasonal chiles; Lil Rizzo made with oyster mushrooms, parmesan, heirloom shelling beans, and maitake crisps; and Tomato Soup with housemade corn bread, chipotle, and honey butter. Cocktails include Lil’ Red Riding Hood made with Black Strap rum, lemon, lime, club soda, black cherry, and Malbec; Wolf in Sheeps Clothing made with mezcal, cucumber, lime, and habanero; House red/white by the glass; Rosé; The Hobo which is a select beer and a shot of well whiskey; and Welloff, a well spirit with single mixer. Beelman’s Opens
T
he casual neighborhood bar, Beelman’s Pub will re-open as Beelman’s with a 100% plant-based menu by Chef Caroline Concha. The concept will bring you an updated bar experience with plant-based pub fare ranging from bar snacks to main dishes in a fresh atmosphere. The new restaurant’s plant-based menu, created by Chef Caroline Concha, has bold flavors and a strong Asian influence. The menu has dishes like Adobong Mani, toasted peanuts with garlic and chili; Mr. Togarashi, crispy chickpeas tossed with shichimi togarashi and gochujang; Stinkin’ Fries;Tachos with soyrizo, cashew cheese, salsa, gochujang crema, and chili pinto beans; Viet Nom Nom Wrap, with citrus ‘spare rib’ cutlets, rice, green papaya, pickled daikon, carrots, thai basil, cilantro and romaine; Buddha Bowl with quinoa, mung bean, kale, crispy marinated tofu, pickled carrots & daikon, green papaya and spicy chickpeas tossed with miso dressing; and an Impossible Burger, featuring Impossible Burger plant-based meat and completed with chipotle aioli, tomato, greens, spicy ketchup and pickles on a brioche bun. Head to Beelman’s for appy hour and football games to nosh on the Poor Man’s Korean BBQ, crispy tater tots topped with BBQ sauce, Mae Ploy sweet chili sriracha, scallions and cilantro and wash it down with $6 drafts and call drinks. Of course, a full range of plant-based traditional pub food will also be on offer, such as vegan dogs and Chef Concha’s renowned vegan chili.The beverage program will feature a selection of curated craft beers as well as several unique cocktails such as Castaway, with Plantation silver and pineapple rum, and Trinidad Sour, with Redemption Rye, Angostura bitters and orgeat. Alternatively, explore a cocktail built for two, the Mid-Century Zombie, made with white, aged, dark and over-proofed rum. FlowerSchool Los Angeles Opens
They are bringing a group of world renowned Master Florists to teach in California. FlowerSchool Los Angeles’ state-of-the-art design studio is located in the STOA building on South Main Street and East Second Street, blocks from the Flower Market. The ground floor space, completely customized for the school by Ariel Fox Design, will also host a gorgeous retail window and a wholesale flower shop. Just in time for holiday tables, celebrated Master Florist Ariella Chezar will be teaching The Organic Compote on November 9th and The Bridal Bouquet — one of her most popular classes — on November 10th.
