The West Hollywood EDITION Opens

Ian Schrager, in partnership with Marriott International, brings the first West Coast location in the EDITION collection. Located between Beverly Hills and Hollywood, The West Hollywood EDITION pays homage to the area’s history by reviving the Golden Age vibe. Upon entering the driveway off Sunset Boulevard behind a wall of foliage, you will feel like you are arriving at a private. British architect John Pawson created the modern building with materials such as the Western Red Cedar for the entryway and outsize front doors, and Italian travertine for the lobby area. Inside, you will find an installation by Los Angeles artist Sterling Ruby. At the far end of the lobby, an outdoor courtyard and fire feature has casual yet refined seating areas, along with an inviting bar. Every level of the hotel has unique experiences including the subterranean club Sunset, 360-degree views from the landscaped garden in the sky, Michelin-starred chef John Fraser’s Ardor restaurant on the main level, a state-of-the-art multimedia performance and event space and a spa. The West Hollywood EDITION has signature restaurant Ardor, which showcases a vegetable-forward healthy California cuisine with flavors inspired by local ingredients.
