The OC Fair

This year’ theme Acres of Fun!  From the latest in deep-fried fair food on a stick (think bacon wrapped everything), action sports (including Moto X, ATV Racing and Monster trucks), amazing concerts (including Smokey Robinson, Jackson Browne, Michael McDonald, Dwight Yoakum, Melissa Etheridge and The B-52s), and contests to rides, game, animals, and incredible exhibits, the Fair has something for everyone!  There are daily discounts available.   Super passes are currently on sale. The Exorcist at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

One of the scariest horror films of all time comes to the graveyard. A baffled mother (Ellen Burstyn) tries all she can when a mysterious force takes hold of her daughter (Linda Blair). Based on actual events, this film still has the power to terrify. Enjoy devil-may-scare DJ sets before and after the film and their free custom photo booth. Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back

Three years after the destruction of the Death Star, Imperial forces continue to pursue the Rebels. After the Rebellion’s defeat on the ice planet Hoth, Luke journeys to the planet Dagobah to train with Jedi Master Yoda, who has lived in hiding since the fall of the Republic. This event takes place outdoors at the historic John Anson Ford Theatres. Reserved outdoor theater seating. You can’t bring in wine and beer. Alcohol will be available for purchase onsite. The Get Around

Two highly anticipated events—the Venice Art Crawl and the Mar Vista Music and Art Walk—have teamed up to create an “explosion” of art, music, food and culture. The event includes six different activation art hubs, five music stages and 3.5 miles of entertainment to explore. Check out live painting battles, tarot card readings, beer gardens, Burning Man-themed bars, fire-spinning performances, art playgrounds and much more. Free Scoop Hour with Humphry Slocombe and Square

To celebrate National Ice Cream Month this month, Humphry Slocombe and Square are joining forces to create a custom, limited-time ice cream flavor for the month of July. In honor of independent ice cream shops across the US, the two brands will host a free scoop hour.  The shop will be giving out free scoops of the Square collaboration flavor, Small Business Sundae, featuring strawberry banana ice cream with chocolate wafers. Pop’s Bagels Collab

For one day only, Pop’s Bagels will be partnering up with West L.A.’s Pikoh to create truly one-of-a-kind breakfast dishes. Pikoh’s all-star chefs, Ricardo Zarate and James Jung, are expected to bring some of their own Peruvian and Japanese twists to the classic bagel with dishes like Pork Belly Sando with kimchi, egg and a gochujang cream cheese.
