Backyard Grilling Series at The Pikey

The classic pub located on the Sunset Strip, is fired up to announce the addition of a new “backyard grilling” series where Executive Chef Robert Flaherty will be manning the grill outside The Gnome Room every Monday and Tuesday. Enjoy a selection of blended cocktails which will be served in ceramic gnome mugs while munching on menu including Skewers: Chicken with a green sauce; Shitake Mushroom with an herb sauce; Lamb meatballs with a harissa crema; and Flatiron steak with an herb sauce. Flatbreads come in Sourdough, Butter and garlic, or Zaatar, that are perfect to enjoy with vegetables like Charred eggplant puree, Turmeric pickles, Marinated Olives with cured lemon, and Grilled potatoes with garlic yogurt and tomato. Hotel 1 West Hollywood Opens

Today, 1 Hotels opens its fourth property and West Coast flagship, 1 West Hollywood. Formerly The Jeremy, the property has undergone a total transformation, taking inspiration from the beauty of Southern California. With an Energy Star score of 95, “1 WeHo” will be one of the most energy-efficient hotels in L.A. Among its property-wide conservation practices is native and adaptive vegetation, a smart irrigation system that determines when soil actually needs water, a 100% organic, sustainably-grown vegetable garden and neighboring beehive and 100-year old olive trees. Inside the hotel is smart energy-efficient zoning of A/C and fresh air and LED lighting. Designed by AvroKo and executed by SH Hotels & Resorts’ interior design team, the property’s conscious earthy design includes reclaimed timber and steel, recycled fiber carpeting, abundant native greenery and stunning stonework. The reception desk is crafted from lumber, sourced from naturally fallen trees, and all lobby furniture is locally made by J. Alexander. 1 Hotel West Hollywood features 285 guest rooms and suites, including dual penthouses. The property also features a newly renovated plunge pool and lounge deck, a 14,000 square feet of flexible event space, a business center, and a range of culinary options. Summer Salon Series in the Garden at Manuela

Each salon brings together noted guest speakers to explore various topics pertaining to art, architecture, nature, food, and music, with a family style meal by Manuela’s Chef Kris Tominaga. This edition will feature a discussion between Dr. Brenda Stevenson and Dr. Nia Imara on Sojourner Truth & the Mars Rover. The menu celebrates seasonal ingredients sourced from the best farms and producers in Southern California and will feature a variety of vegetables and herbs from the garden in which you are dining. Hollywood & Highland’s Subaru Summer Jazz Nights

Live jazz music returns to Hollywood this summer with Hollywood & Highland’s Subaru Summer Jazz Nights. This year’s lineup features exciting and eclectic artists, such as the high energy, horn-driven beats of Huntertones, sounds from the 12-piece Boogaloo Assassins, smoky vocals of Bria Skonberg, and more. For a $14 donation, you will receive a cheese and fruit plate by Wolfgang Puck Catering and two drink tickets for wine or beer. All proceeds support Project Angel Food, a charity that cooks and delivers over 500,000 nutritious meals each year, free of charge, to the homes of men, women, and children affected by life-threatening illnesses in Los Angeles County.This complimentary five-week series returns every Tuesday night and presents a special guest host alongside a KJazz DJ. Sofitel LA Hosts Exclusive French Show

“Avenue of the Stars – From Paris to Beverly Hills,” is a show by the French National Team of Performing Arts of the project Revealing the Stars taking place at French-inspired bar and lounge, Riviera 31. The night dedicated to celebrating “Live the French way”, the French “joie de vivre” and “savoir-faire”, presents a unique show full of colors and emotions inspired by the biggest movies and legends from French and American cinema. Take part in performances incorporating the biggest French songs of today and yesterday with a special tribute to Michel Legrand, Charles Aznavour and Edith Piaf.
