Natural History Museum’s First Fridays
What makes L.A. the capital of the 21st century? Weaving together nature, culture, and creativity, this year’s “First Fridays” series scopes out Los Angeles as the lab and factory for much of what makes the modern world modern. Longtime Los Angeles Times journalist, author, and Emmy-winning public television and radio host Patt Morrison is joining the NHM again this year as moderator for our five-part series. Boomtown Brewery 3 Year Anniversary Celebration
Raise a glass to celebrate three years of making beer in Los Angeles. Saturday Night Sizzle at Tam O’Shanter
Tam O’Shanter, a member of the Lawry’s family of restaurants and one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles, is entertaining Angelenos with its festive tradition of fun-filled Saturday night concerts. 40th Annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K
The Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is hosting the 40th Annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K, which includes a costume contest, 5k Run/Walk, 10k Run, 10K Baby Buggy Run and Kids 1k Fun Run for children 12 and under. Runners will take in views of the Pacific Ocean, the Redondo Beach Historic Pier, the Marina in King Harbor and the Wyland Whale Mural. Custom awards will be presented to the top three male & female finishers in each category. The annual race is part of the free two-day Health & Fitness Expo at Seaside Lagoon, packed with family-friendly activities and classes. Spinfish Poke House’s Super Bowl Special
Spinfish, known for it’s healthy “spin” on the favorite Hawaiian comfort food, will be offering a “buy one bowl, get one free” ,” from kickoff at 3:30 pm until close during Super Bowl.
