Petite Taqueria Opens
The h.wood Group’s John Terzian, and Brian Toll have opened their newest restaurant, Petite Taqueria, a modern Mexican restaurant with Japanese influence, as taqueria-style dishes are prepared and presented at a traditional “Omakase” bar. The Omakase bar is stationed on the upper level straight across from the outdoor patio. Led by The h.wood Group’s Culinary Director, Chef Maynard Llera alongside Food & Beverage Specialist Adam Koral, the menu aims to bring your experience to the next level. Inside Petite, Chef Jeffrey Arrieta handles the main kitchen, while Chef John Carlos will be helming at the Omakase bar, which is named as ‘Ainoko’ (meaning, ‘half breed’ in Japanese), demonstrating the chef’s choice tastings with a variety of combinations that will highlight on specialty tacos and tostadas. On the spirits side, master mixologist, Matt Seigel, will incorporate a collective tequila program while crafting a full menu of the specialty cocktails and mock-tails. Opens Monday; 755 N. R10 Social House’s Pink Drink
For the whole month of October, R10 Social House will be showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating 15% of The Pink Lady proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The $12 cocktail is made up of muddled raspberries, vodka, St-Germain, lemon, an egg white and juice to create one of the prettiest and tastiest drinks you’ll have all month. Surfside Venice’s Pink Drink
This October Surfside Venice are donating $1 from every Pink Bikini purchased to The National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Pink Bikini includes vodka, fresh strawberries, basil, lemon juice and is topped with Prosecco with a sugar rim. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they’ve created a limited-time cocktail to support those who have been affected by breast cancer, whether they’re a patient, survivor, family member, or friend. The Pink Ribbon cocktail is made with Deep Eddy vodka, Grenadine pomegranate syrup, guava juice, and lime juice. For each drink purchase ($9), The Standing Room will donate $1 to the Cancer Support Community in Redondo Beach throughout the entire month of October. The Innovative Dining Group Partners with the National Breast Cancer Foundation
During the month of October 20% of proceeds purchased from Sushi Roku, Roku, Katana, and BOA speciality pink drinks will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Pink Capri features aperol mixed with grapefruit, a touch of agave, and sparkling rose. It is served in a champagne flute and topped with St. Germaine foam. The Pretty in Pink features svedka combined with a prickly pear puree, muddled cucumber, simple syrup, and lime juice.

The NoMad Truck debuts its Final Burger Collaboration with Nancy Silverton of Osteria Mozza.
Silverton’s take on the truck’s signature chicken burger features mint yogurt, zhug (Middle Eastern hot sauce) and cilantro, offering bold, well-balanced flavors for the transition to the fall season. All proceeds from sales of the burger will benefit Silverton’s charity of choice, Alex’s Lemonade Stand. October is National Pasta Month and Chef Bruce Kalman and his crew are celebrating all month long at Union by raising money for American Red Cross – Disaster Relief Efforts in Puerto Rico, Texas & Florida aka #pastaforthepeople. Each week Chef Kalman will highlight one of his signature pasta dishes off his menu and you order that featured pasta and a portion of the proceeds from each dish ordered will go to support disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico, Texas & Florida via the American Red Cross. Lasher’s Kitchen, the new concept from seasoned restaurateur Ray Lasher, will host its inaugural wine dinner.
