Rock & Brews Gives Out FREE Tattoos and 1¢ Pints of Select Rock & Brews Beers for National Tattoo Day

In honor of National Tattoo Day, Rock & Brews, the national rock ‘n’ roll-inspired restaurant concept created by KISS front men Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, is honoring body art with two specials: FREE tattoos and 1¢ pints of select Rock & Brews beers.

  • FREE Tattoos: Rock & Brews is partnering with the Body Art Bus to offer free tattoos up to $50 to the first 20 guests who pop by the truck! While folks are welcome to get tattoos higher than $50, the first $50 is complimentary, courtesy of Rock & Brews. Once the first 20 guests receive their free tattoos, Body Art Bus will be offering additional tattoos for standard rates. Monday, 3 – 6:00 pm; Buena Park, El Segundo, and Corona, CA locations
  • 1¢ Pints: In addition to the live tats, diners with tattoos at all participating locations in SoCal (Buena Park, Corona, El Segundo, Redondo Beach, Tustin) can enjoy “penny pints” or 1¢ pints of select Rock & Brews beers. Guests can buy one pint at regular price and get the second one for just 1 cent when they show their tattoo. Please note that this offer is limited to one penny pint per person for select beers only. West meets East for a collaboration by longtime colleagues Suzanne Tracht and Raphael Lunetta at Jar for a best-of-summer dinner. It’s been a long time coming and it’s coming soon. Suzanne and Raphael have been talking about doing a dinner together for months. The four-course dinner begins with an Amuse Bouche of Sweet Summer Melon with Dungeness Crab with Jalapeno Vinaigrette & Persian mint. Then to share for the table, guests will savor Suzanne’s signature Fried Ipswich Clams with Cocktail & Roasted Garlic Tartar Sauce. Next is a Wild Striped Bass & Spot Prawn with Sweet Corn Succotash, followed by the entrée of Westholme Australian Wagyu New York Strip with Weiser Farms Baked Potato, Wild Watercress, Gorgonzola, Tomato Confit & Roasted Balsamic-Glazed Ojai Roots’ Vidalia Onions. New Pop-Up Space – Tuk Tuk x Turntable Brings NY’s Favorite Fried Chicken to LA

The teams behind Tuk Tuk Thai and Turntable at Lord Stanley open Tuk Tuk x Turntable, a new pop-up space that will host ongoing chef residencies. Turntable is the well-known hub for world-renowned and up-and-coming chefs to collaborate and showcase their cuisines in San Francisco, and last year hosted Chef Amanda Maneesilassan of Tuk Tuk Thai, one of LA’s legacy Thai restaurants, for a month-long residency. Kicking off the pop-up series is Chef Eric Huang, whose New York pop-up-turned-brick-and-mortar Pecking House once had a 10,000-person wait list for its beloved Chili Fried Chicken. Following two successful pop-ups in San Francisco, the Turntable team wanted to help Pecking House expand its reach and took on the role of overseeing the planning and logistics of finding another city and space for Chef Huang to set up shop. Your meal includes three pieces of Chili Fried Chicken with dirty fried rice and butter bean salad, or a la carte Fried Chicken (three pieces ($17); six pieces ($32); add Green Garlic Ranch ($2) and extras ($8) like Dirty Fried Rice, Cheddar Cornbread with Apple Honey, Heirloom Butterbean Salad with Sesame, and Almond Panna Cotta with Peach and Ginger. The Meet Your Makers drink series at Pacifica Hotels continues this month at SALT (Marina del Rey Hotel) and The Wayfarer DTLA Rooftop. Each month, food & drink connoisseurs (or those who just want a nice night out on the town!) will have the chance to meet the makers of, enjoy delicious aperitifs, and learn what it takes to create a world-renowned liqueur, wine, and beer.
