Woon Wine Dinner featuring Say When Wines & Wonderwerk

Woon presents their first ever Wine Dinner featuring Say When Wines and Wonderwerk. This evening will feature a Chinese Prix Fixe menu from Woon, Los Angeles’ pop-up noodle cart turned Historic Filipinotown brick and mortar. A family restaurant dream come true, born from a desire to share the Fong family’s original Chinese comfort food. Their loyal following was built on their home-style Shanghainese stir-fried beef noodles and braised pork belly baos. Say When is a small winery run by husband and wife team, Michel and Rachel DeAscentiis. The wines are made from grapes in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County. They work with small family farms, most sustainable, organic or biodynamic and craft the wines themselves, with the help of friends and family. From there, each wine is given a unique name to reflect the personality within the bottle. Featured Wines include: 2018 Weird Parties, Skin Contact Grenache Blanc and 2017 RASI, Pinot Noir. Wonderwerk is Issamu Kamide and Andrew Lardy, two high school friends seeking new directions in fermentation. They live in LA and make wines from all over California.
