Summer Poolside Cinema Series
You are invited to enjoy Mr. C’s summertime tradition of dinner and a movie on the hotel’s beautiful yacht-inspired pool deck. Enjoy a luxury, outdoor movie experience on chic and comfortable lounge furniture and can pre-reserve their seats by purchasing in advance one of Mr. C’s Poolside Cinema Prix-Fixe Menus, featuring Cipriani classics such as Homemade Baked White Tagliolini with Ham, the Pizza Mr. C with Burrata, Prosciutto Crudo di Parma with melon, along with summer-inspired appetizers like fresh Tuna Tartare and Mr. C Guacamole with Toasted Pizza Crisps. Attendees can also indulge in fresh popcorn, boxes of candy, and an array of options from the patio bar, including Peroni Nastro Azzurro on-tap, wines by the glass, and craft cocktails. Jaffa Opens in Palms
Middle Eastern restaurant Jaffa opens its second location in Palms. Inspired by Tel Aviv’s vibrant coastal neighborhood of the same name, Chef Anne Conness opened Jaffa on West 3rd last year, serving Israeli-inspired cuisine with Southern California influences. The new Jaffa Palms location will carry over a similarly menu for lunch and dinner daily, weekday happy hour and weekend brunch. Lunch items include a Lamb Bacon BLT with heirloom tomatoes and avocado on toasted Challah and Chicken Shawarma with tahina, Israeli salad, pickles, sumac onions, Zhug and Toum. Happy hour kicks off at 4 pm with small and shared plates like Phyllo Cigarswith feta, Zaatar and date almond Zhug and Spiced Lamb Sliders on Kubaneh Rolls. Dinner highlights include Spaghetti with Moroccan Saffron Butter with fresh pasta, Swiss Chard, pine nuts, herbs and date vinegar; Roasted Whole Branzino with herb salad; and Harissa Roasted Market Vegetables with avocado hummus, freekeh and coriander. Jaffa’s house-made breads and brunch pastries include challah, rye, babka, kubaneh, cardamom morning buns and other carb-filled fare baked on-site daily. Weekend brunch is available Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 3 pm. The Original Farmers Market, The Grove and LA PRIDE
Celebrate Pride at The Original Farmers Market and The Grove with an outdoor screening of the beloved 2007 singalong film Hairspray and a concert on the Farmers Market Plaza with a live ’50s and ’60s tribute by Jennifer Keith and the Constellations! The event, now in its third year, is a family-friendly celebration in partnership with Christopher Street West (CSW) – the 501©3 nonprofit that produces the annual LA Pride Festival and Parade in West Hollywood. Hollywood Fringe Festival
This annual, event celebrating freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community means you get two weeks of performances including comedy, dance, musicals, and more. The Hollywood Fringe infiltrate the Hollywood neighborhood: fully equipped theaters, parks, clubs, churches, restaurants and other unexpected places to host hundreds of productions by local, national, and international arts companies and independent performers. The Hollywood Fringe Festival is a non-profit company. The festival gives 100% of box office revenue back to participating artists and venues—that’s over 2.8 million dollars since the inaugural festival in 2010.
