Yardbird, the James Beard nominated standout at the Beverly Center, one of LA’s top spots for traditional Southern fare, now has expanded their offerings with a new brunch, happy hour, and Executive Lunch special. The new menu means even more options for vegetarians, paleo, and gluten free, without losing their sophistication and taste, not to mention ingenuity. (Try their salted caramel waffles only served for brunch. They are delicious and gluten free?!) But a warning for the vegetarians- you may start to reconsider your life choices when you see the Hickory Smoked Short Ribs. The presentation is worth it alone, and you’ll get plenty of drool worthy pics to make your dearest friends and family jealous.
Other standouts, all gluten free, are the cauliflower, roasted chicken and farro, and protein bowl for the paleo/keto, and deviled eggs that would tempt any vegan.
The restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere and Southern hospitality will make you want to drink a bourbon which, conveniently for you, they have plenty of. If you’re feeling adventurous, their inventive cocktail list has plenty of options to wet your whistle, like their signature Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade which is just the right amount of not too sweet and the Gunsmoke, their take on the whiskey sour.
The menus’ versatility will satisfy any cravings, with a happy hour Monday – Friday, 3 – 7 pm, Executive Lunch served every Monday – Friday, 11 am – 4 pm for the quick power lunch, and brunch every weekend.
