Bondi Harvest Opens Second Location

Australian whole-food restaurant, Bondi Harvest’s newest edition is located at Platform-Culver City and has a new and unique menu that reflects Bondi’s traditional offeringst. Guy Turland, BH’s resident chef, has also added a whole new dinner menu to the Culver City location, and has elevated the traditional Aussie dinner to a new level- one that encourages backyard BBQ, sharing plate vibes. Reserve The Cape’s Fall Wellness Retreat

Los Cabos’ award-winning boutique resort, The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, announces its Fall 2019 wellness retreat. The second iteration of the hotel’s new wellness series, this retreat offers activities intended to help you explore personal well-being; replenish the mind, body, and soul; and live more presently. Available activities include: Beach and rooftop fitness experiences including expert-led classes like fitness trainer Modu Seye. There are classes including rooftop cycling, vinyasa flow yoga and restorative alignment yoga (led in partnership with Baja Wellness), beach boot camp, body sculpt, and more. Meditation and inner wellness sessions – include Cacao Breathing Ceremony (led by Baja Wellness). Spa treatments are infused with local ingredients and offered at the resort’s architecturally stunning indoor/outdoor spa, Currents. Healthy organic meals include a daily morning juice bar and breakfast, lunch, and nightly farm-to-table dinner. Wellness Market and Workshops will be taking place in the open-air Lobby Bar. Descanco Gardens’ Carved

This October, Descanso Gardens will be aglow with carved pumpkins. A thousand professionally-carved pumpkins will line a 1-mile walk through the Camellia Forest and Oak Grove. DTLA Film Festival

2nd & PCH Grand Opening

Long Beach’s new destination retail center, 2ND & PCH, will open its doors on October 24th, at 10am, to kick off four days of Grand Opening festivities. Beginning with a ribbon cutting, the events will include family friendly programming, live music, a free movie night, beer gardens, fitness activations and more. On Thursday at 8 am, join in the Golden Ticket Giveaway where the first 200 arrivals receive swag bag. The Ribbon Cutting is at 10 am and the Retailer Events & Art Tours are from 11 am – 4 pm, along with a free Common Sense Concert at 7 pm. Take Eight Beach Clean-Up

Join Shore Hotel for the “Take Eight” beach clean-up at Santa Monica Beach.
