Rosh Hashanah Eats

Jaffa

The modern Israeli restaurant will offer both an in-restaurant  and a family-style to-go menu (serves four) for Rosh Hashanah that is available for pickup. The Restaurant Menu ($45) features family-style starters including Spiced Lentil Soup with cashew cream, Potted Chicken Liver with Berbere spiced fig jam on rye toast, and a house-made Jaffa Challah Round. Main course options including Glazed Short Rib with parsley and mustard seed Zhug, and Lamb Couscous with Moroccan spices and roasted root vegetables. Dessert is a Honey-pistachio blaklava with autumn fruit. The take-out menu ($190) must be ordered by 4 pm on September 28th, pickup at either Jaffa location Sunday and Monday between 2 – 5 pm. The starters include Spiced Lentil Soup, an Apple Walnut Pomegranate Salad with date vinaigrette, and a house-made Jaffa Challah Round. Main course options including the Glazed Short Rib with parsley and mustard seed Zhug or the Zatar Roasted Whole Chicken. Sides include Potato-Leek Kugel and Braised Chard with olives and currants. Celebrate with the Rosh Hashanah lunch menu ($40). Dishes include the Beet Carpaccio Salad with orange segments, pomegranate, brazil nut parmesan, and arugula; Matzo Ball Soup; Carrot Lox with English muffin, cucumber salad, mixed greens, capers and cream cheese; and Apple Pie with a macadamia nut crust, and honey sweet cream drizzle. The dinner menu ($40) includes Beet Carpaccio Salad with orange segments, pomegranate, brazil nut parmesan, and arugula; Matzo Ball Soup; Apple Cider Braised Cabbage with caraway potato salad, and parsley puree; and Apple Pie with a macadamia nut crust, and honey sweet cream drizzle. Lucques Rosh Hashanah Supper

Celebrate the Jewish New Year at Lucques.
