Eat|See|Hear
LA’s outdoor movie, food truck and live music event series is back with its fourth annual series. They kick it all off on Saturday, May 9 at Santa Monica High School with “Pitch Perfect”, but tickets are on sale now. Eat|See|Hear runs through September 12 at venues across Los Angeles and they are also bringing back its “Christmas in July” celebration on July 25 with “Love Actually,” and the night will include dozens of Santas, as well as holiday decorations, raffles and a donation drive for Best Friends Animal Society. Prior to each movie, local up-and-coming bands will perform live, and popular food trucks will provide great bites and drinks (over 110 different trucks throughout the season). Film Noir Festival
See 26 Film Noir movies on the big screen over 12 nights at the 17th annual festival. American Cinematheque and Film Noir Foundation present films that spread over the full gamut. You’ll see some usual suspects as well as rarely screened gems, including the Foundation’s new 35mm restorations of The Guilty and Woman on the Run, as well as new prints of The Underworld Story, No Abras Nunca Esa Puerta and Si Muero Antes de Despertar (two classic Argentine noirs making their Los Angeles premieres). The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens
This cultural spot is known for its lush gardens, its rare-books and blue-chip paintings.
