August 1-9 is Dance Week and you can get your groove on with a variety of dance-based fitness classes taught by guest instructors. Ken Gilbert, a first generation instructor of NIA, a sensory-based movement practice that comes from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts; Susan Nelson will bring her “Get Your Young On,” Choreography and Qigong classes and Kymberly Williams Evans, fitness instructor and co-founder of the Fun and Fit blog, will teach Rhythm, Stability Balls and Drumsticks. Additionally, African, Mid-Eastern Belly Dance, Drum on the Ball, Latin, Jazz and Aqua Zumba dance classes will be offered throughout the week by The Oaks’ talented fitness and dance professionals.
