There is never a dull moment in Hollywood. Whether it’s a world premiere at one of the famous theaters, a swanky awards show or the daily hustle and bustle of the crowds and nightlife, there are bright lights, noises and tons of people everywhere you look. Is there anywhere you can go to escape and unwind? The answer is yes, thanks to the newest Kreation Organic location – complete with a Zen garden.
As an Angelino who loves good food that is both tasty and good for me, Kreation Organic is one of my favorite eateries. Everything on the menu is delicious. Let’s start with what they are known for – cold pressed juices.
Kreation is a place “Where Food is Medicine and Medicine is Food,” therefore each juice is made daily with fresh, organic ingredients. Depending on what your taste buds are craving and what your interests are, Kreation has a juice for every palette and health concern. I had an event the next day with plenty of photo opportunities for Instagram, so I opted for one of my go-to juices – Glow. This juice is recommended for its beauty minerals. Comprised of green pepper (beautifying properties), cucumber (promotes weight loss), apple ( B complex vitamins), aloe vera (skin health) and orange (vitamin c), Glow does exactly what the label reads – makes your skin glow from the inside out. Not only does the juice quench my thirst and cravings, but it goes well with all the items on the menu. Now Glow is one of MY favorite juices but the staff at Kreation understands that each customer is unique and has their own preferences and wishes. The staff is well versed in the products and will help you pick the right juice for you. Whether you are looking to DeStress, gain Strength, add Protein or partake in the Master Cleanse, Kreation Organic has the perfect juice for you.
To eat, I have to try the Hail Vegan Chick’N Caesar Wrap and the popular Buddha Bowl. The vegan wrap is packed with flavor. Romaine lettuce, gluten free croutons, Gardein Meatless Chick’n Strips, gluten free Caesar dressing, Dijon mustard and apple cider vinegar wrapped in a gluten free tortilla. I just licked my lips remembering the taste. My other choice, the Buddha Bowl with seasoned cauliflower, green beans, zucchini, carrots, red bell peppers, red onions, celery, quinoa, cashews, golden raisins, lemon, parsley, olive oil, Himalayan sea salt, curry and corn was amazing. I highly recommend these items for vegetarians and vegans.
My sweet tooth kicked in and dessert was calling my name. Four words – Gluten free Lemon Cheesecake. Gluten Free flour, eggs, cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a small recyclable glass jar. The amount is perfectly proportioned to prevent you from overeating. I am already counting down to my return visit to get this same meal all over again!
This hip chain of organic juices and health conscious food has taken it up a notch by creating its very own Zen garden where guests are invited to forget the stresses of their everyday lives and relax. Choose to sit by the beautiful fountain, or beneath one of the many hanging plants. After your meal, stay and read a book or write in your journal. The Zen garden is the perfect location to enjoy your juice, food or time alone with yourself. Kreation is gearing up to have weekly yoga classes in the garden . Can you imagine, yoga and then a cold pressed juice. Yes please!
