Lunar New Year Festival

Celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Pig in Monterey Park. Join in five blocks of entertainment, vendors offering unique gifts and specialty items, food booths with various types of items, amusement rides, and lots of live entertainment. The traditional  New Year lion and dragon dancers along with firecrackers will kick-off the festival Saturday morning. Various types of entertainment will be featured on both days. A large carnival fun zone will be featured in parking lots at the corner of Garvey and Lincoln Avenues. Beverly Hills’ Chinese New Year Celebration

Beverly Hills’ eighth annual Lunar New Year celebration at the historic Saban Theatre is back. The event features 14 acts such as Peking Opera fashion show; Chinese dance; Chinese martial arts; traditional folk music and acrobatics. L.A. Art Show

The West Coast’s largest art fair features more than 120 exhibitors including galleries from 18 countries. You can peruse and purchase modern and contemporary paintings, illustrations and sculptures. Pop Up Wine Tasting

Just in time for Australia Day, the South Australian Tourism Commission is popping up a wine tasting experience, inspired by one of Adelaide’s premier wine tourism destinations, the d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale in partnership with JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE. You will receive complimentary tasting of select South Australian wines and Adelaide, South Australia will give one lucky winner two tickets to the star-studded annual black-tie G’DAY USA Gala on January 26, honoring Liam Hemsworth, Deborah Riley, and Helen Reddy. The winner will also receive one night of complimentary accommodation at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE to be used January 26th or any time within a year. Uncorked Wine Festivals is back for the fourth annual Uncorked: LA Wine Fest at Union Station! The WhiskyX

This multi-city experiential whisky discovery platform, is coming back to Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Returning to the Los Angeles area for its second year, the event, which has also stopped in Brooklyn, Denver, Chicago, and Austin, features whisky tastings from more than 60 long-established and emerging whisky brands along with free beard shaving, hair trims from Blind Barber, a cigar lounge, music from St. Paul & The Broken Bones, top local LA chefs and food trucks, and more! Whisky brand ambassadors and bartenders will be on hand to introduce you to whiskies across the Bourbon, Scotch, Single Malt, American Whisky, and Rye categories as well as cocktails using these spirits as a base. Performances à la Carte presents  Toast & Jam Champagne Brunch

Curated by Performances a la Carte, the Pasadena based collaborative arts and social conscience entity along with its alliance with Pasadena community and social action leader, Neighborhood UU Church, hosts Jazz ‘N Paz. The intimate jazz series features many of the fabulously gifted and renowned jazz musicians living and working in LA and Pasadena. Gabi James “Be Well Brunch”

For those who are adopting a healthier lifestyle as part of their new year’s resolution, Gabi James has launched a new “Be Well Brunch”, which will take place monthly.
