Celebrate National Lemonade Day with Free Lemonade
Lemonade is excited to celebrate National Lemonade Day with free lemonade for all catering orders and Lemonade-themed Beyoncé classes at select SoulCycle locations. For all catering orders on Monday, use code LEMONADEDAY at checkout to receive free lemonade along with your food! Lemonade will provide enough lemonades to cover the number of people for each order. Lemonade unveiled its new catering menu last month and you can create packages that include main dishes and sides, such as the Lemonade Sunshine Sandwich Package that features a Chef Sandwich along with a choice of salads or any of Lemonade’s signature hot dishes like their famous Mac N’ Cheese, Red Miso Beef Short Rib or Harissa Roasted Cauliflower. All items come in ready-to-serve containers, complete with utensils and napkins. Seasonal items, such as the new fan favorite Mango Chicken Bowl, also appear on the menu. Channel Your Inner Beyoncé because Lemonade is partnering with SoulCycle to offer Lemonade-themed rides at select studios in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area on Monday too. Gabi James Announces First Winemakers’ Dinner with Michael Cooper of Spain’s Vinos del Viento Winery
Gabi James, the new Redondo Beach spot for Spanish and Coastal French cuisine, will host their first Winemakers’ Dinner with the accoladed, young winemaker, Michael Cooper, of Vinos del Viento Winery. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Cooper witnessed the renaissance and evolution of California winemaking during the first 20 years of his life. In 2002, he moved to Spain, where he saw, similarly, the Spanish winemaking revolution and new generation of Spanish winegrowers. Cooper’s passion for wines, specifically Spanish wines, led him down the path to wine writing and winemaking. In 2009, with no official education in oenology and no experience in winemaking, he began experimenting with Carignan from the Cariñena appellation in Spain. He continues to experiment with Spanish varietals and was one of the first winemakers to use Garnacha Blanca in Aragón, the first to use Garnacha Peluda, and the first to make a rosé using the Cariñena grape. Cooper’s goal is to make unique wines that express the identity of the regions where they are grown. CAVA Opens in Pasadena
CAVA, the Mediterranean fast casual restaurant and culinary brand is opening its newest location in Pasadena, marking its sixth location in the greater Los Angeles area and the 10th in SoCal. To celebrate the arrival of the restaurant, CAVA will host a “Community Day”, providing free lunch between the hours and free dinner. CAVA will also take donations during Community Day to benefit local partner Garden School Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to providing integrative education through garden-based learning in low-income neighborhood schools throughout Los Angeles. CAVA’s build-it-yourself, seasonally-inspired menu features a variety of customizable meal options (salads, grain bowls or pitas) made from scratch in-house every day. Marugame Udon Opens
Marugame Udon is expanding its footprint as it opens at the newly revamped Beverly Center. To celebrate, this Thursday (opening day), the restaurant will offer $1 Kake Udon bowls, a $10 gift certificate for the first 100 customers, and validation for free all-day self-parking. Marguame Udon serves bowls of small batch broths, expertly brewed with Japanese-imported kelp, dried fish, and soy sauce, fully customizable with assorted tempura and a toppings bar. Signature hot and cold bowls include Kake Udon (udon noodles in Kake soup); Nikutama Udon (Kake sauce, udon noodles, sweet beef, poached egg); and Crispy Tofu Salad Udon (cold udon noodles, fried tofu, carrots, mixed greens, and garlic dressing).
