The Peninsula Beverly Hills Partners with Mad Fritz
The hotel is partnering with craft brewery, Mad Fritz, to launch a beer titled The Lion and the Mouse. From August 1, the limited edition beer will be available exclusively at the luxury hotel’s timeless Club Bar. Located in Napa Valley, Mad Fritz is a small batch brewery conceived by two wine makers. Each beer is bottled from a single barrel and naturally carbonated through secondary or tertiary fermentation. Each of Mad Fritz’s distinctive brews features beautiful, hand-drawn labels inspired by Aesop’s Fables. The Lion and the Mouse is named for the story where a mouse accidentally rouses a lion from his sleep. Trapped, the little mouse pleads for his life, promising one day to return the favor. The lion sets the mouse free. Shortly afterward the lion is caught in a trap and left roaring loudly in dismay. Recognizing the roar, the mouse hurries to his rescue, gnawing him free. This story celebrates the friendship and collaboration between the hotel and the brewery. For true beer enthusiasts, attend an intimate beer-tasting dinner hosted by Zacherle at the property’s restaurant, The Belvedere. For one night only, the patio will be transformed into The Belvedere Beer Garden where you will sample a hand-picked collection of brews that have never before been available outside of Napa Valley. To accompany this tasting, Executive Chef David Codney has created a menu that pairs with each signature brew. $150, exclusive of taxes and gratuities, and includes a flight of five beers; Thursday; Resys: 310.975.2736
