This weekend Skybar at the Mondrian Los Angeles will host a Rise & Flow yoga and wellness event. In partnership with Fit Girl Club, guests can kick off Saturday morning with a cleansing yoga class with Jordan. Mats and towels will be provided. (2/11): Benny Boy Brewing and Pali Wine Co. Host Meet the Makers and Bottle Release Party
Benny Boy Brewing is hosting a Meet the Makers & Bottle Release event for the launch of Harvest Handshake, a sparkling rosé cider created in collaboration with Pali Wine Co. The event will be a guided tasting experience celebrating “cider is wine” by the makers themselves: Benny Boy Brewing’s cidermaker Benny Farber and Pali Wine Co.’s winemaker Aaron Walker. Enjoy a flight of four tasters – cider, co-ferments, and wines – while learning how the two swapped apples and grapes to create two hybrids that honor California fruits and fermentation fun. Be among the first to taste both Harvest Handshake and Chardonapple. The day’s pop-up food vendors are Baserriko Peppers and Perlitas Oysters. 3/5 – 3/8: Alisal Ranch Hosts Guest Chef BBQ Bootcamp: From the Vine
Back by popular demand, the 10,500-acre Alisal Ranch announces the return of its beloved BBQ Bootcamp experience, which will now be hosted three times a year. The first iteration for the year, held 3/5 – 3/8, will be mc’d by Chef Valerie Gordon and offers a “From the Vine” theme, featuring local California wineries pouring their favorite vintages and teaching guests how to pair and incorporate into grilling recipes, in addition to a private tasting excursion. The BBQ Bootcamp experience brings some of the nation’s top chefs and grill masters to the ranch, where they will prepare indulgent barbecue feasts, demonstrate their unique approach to grilling (even desserts!), and share their barbecue secrets, tips, and tricks. (4/2): Tickets are Now On Sale for the Masters of Taste
Mark your calendars! The date for the 6th annual Masters of Taste has been announced. The premier outdoor luxury food and beverage festival will return to the historic Pasadena Rose Bowl on 4/2 with Chef Michael Reed and Kwini Reed as Hosts. Host Chef Michael Reed is a classically trained chef and restaurateur who has spent 19 years as a chef for restaurants across New York and Los Angeles. Today, Chef Reed is the co-owner and Executive Chef behind two Los Angeles restaurants, Poppy + Rose of Downtown Los Angeles and Anaheim’s Poppy & Seed.
