The magical holiday show which features 18 million hues of lights, is one of L.A.’s largest multi-colored interactive installations. Facial coverings and social distancing recommended. Head Over Heels at the Pasadena Playhouse

Calling all 80s lovers. The Pasadena Playhouse welcomes Head Over Heels, a play based on The Arcadia by Sir Philip Sidney and set to the music of the famous 80s girl rock group, the Go-Go’s. Guests can expect, “Non-stop, dance-filled joyride through magic, merriment and mischief.” Through December 12th. $30+(Ticket holders will be required to be fully vaccinated and will need to provide a photo ID and proof of vaccination. Self-Care Saturdays in Downtown Santa Monica

Downtown Santa Monica and Fit Girl Club LA want you to give back to yourself with Self-Care Saturday. Each Saturday, join them for free workouts and local vendors along the Third Street Promenade. Each week features 2 different fitness classes, ranging from HIIT, boxing, yoga, Pilates, and dance cardio. This Saturday starts with a Pilates class led by Natural Pilates, then followed by a Stroller Rides class with FIT4MOM Santa Monica. Bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle. Through December 18th. GLOBAL’s 2021 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show & Celebrity Lineup

This Saturday, Global Down Syndrome Foundation (GLOBAL) hosts the largest single fundraiser for Down Syndrome in the world. Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show is an inspirational, and star-studded event starring 26 beautiful models with Down syndrome from eight states and three countries on the virtual runway. The Fashion Show will also pay tribute to Jamie Foxx’s sister DeOndra Dixon who passed away last year. GLOBAL is honoring her memory through the DeOndra Dixon Down Syndrome Research Fund, raising funds to address medical care and healthcare disparity for African-Americans with Down syndrome. Celebrity guests include performances by GRAMMY® Award-winning artist and philanthropist Sara Bareilles, and pro football Hall of Fame inductee and GM of the San Francisco 49ers John Lynch will receive the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award alongside Peruvian advocate and politician Bryan Russell Mujica. $25; Saturday, 5:30 pm PT; a virtual access code will be sent to ticket holders

Ozomatli Headlines the Alzheimer’s Los Angeles 40th Anniversary Celebration

Alzheimer’s Los Angeles, the oldest community-based organization serving families living with Alzheimer’s in Los Angeles is honoring and celebrating their 40 years of service to the community with a celebration of food and music at L.A. State Historic Park. The multicultural festival will also spotlight local food vendors and informational booths focusing on brain health and other healthy lifestyle opportunities.
