Variety show Lucha VaVOOM is serving up Mexican masked wrestling, burlesque, comedy and music in honor of Cinco de Mayo. The long running variety show will kick off at 4:00 pm with a live dance party on their Instagram (@luchavavoom). For those who want to exercise their culinary skills, try this tasty guacamole recipe. Pair it with chips or veggies and an ice cold Corona or Dos Equis.
- 3 avocados – peeled, pitted, and mashed
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup diced onion
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)
- Cotija cheese crumbles for garnish (optional)
- In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, garnish and serve.
