2nd Annual Gingerbread Competition

Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like getting creative (and competitive) with building a gingerbread house. All necessary supplies are provided, but you may bring your own special additions to give the house an edge. Berkshire House Opens

From the owners of The Woodman and Jalapeño Pete’s, the Berkshire House is a great place to watch games, enjoy weekend brunch, daily happy hour specials, throwback boardgames and more. Garage-style front doors raise to accommodate indoor-outdoor seating, a rarity for the La Brea neighborhood. The second story lounge features large couches throughout, a window lined wall opposite the private bar and fits up to 80 guests standing. Berkshire House’s menu ranges from pub staples like authentic New York-style pizza, Philly Cheesesteak, and wings to more foodie-driven specials like Fried Avocado Tacos, Italian Street Corn Lollipops and Roasted Veggie Sopes. Las Brisas Holiday Pop Up

Las Brisas, the Laguna Beach restaurant, and Scott Baird, renowned bartender and owner of the famed San Francisco cocktail bar Trick Dog host a holiday pop-up with Ancho Reyes in Las Brisas’ bar and lounge. Hand-crafted cocktails prepared by Baird will be served, along with Ancho Reyes merch and liqueur sample giveaways, live music from 6-9 pm, and more.  Cocktails will be paired with Ancho Reyes liqueur and agave spirits including: Hot Buttered Toddy made with Ancho Verde, Patron Anejo, lemon, honey, hot chamomile tea, and organic grass-fed butter on top; Navidad Aperitif made with Ancho Reyes Original, Campari, soda, fresh passionfruit, and cinnamon foam; Clarified Ancho Coquito (Holiday Coconut Punch) made withAncho Reyes Original, reposado tequila, pineapple, vanilla coconut cream, lime, sugar, spice and everything nice, and organic milk; and Las Brisas Poinsettia made with Patron Silver, Ancho Verde, lime, ginger beer, and a hibiscus float.
