Terranea Resort Turns Pink in Honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This month long event has a portion of the proceeds from spa treatments, golf rounds, adventures, pink cocktails and desserts, room stays, and more donated to Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Some of the offerings you can expect in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month include: for every stay in October, Terranea will donate $5 in support of breast cancer research and you have the option to match Terranea’s $5 donation; Resort chefs will don pink chef jackets during October and for every Pink Sling Cocktail and glass of ONEHOPE rosé purchased at catalina kitchen, bashi and the Lobby Bar, $2 and $1 will be donated. Nelson’s Signature Crab Cake Sliders will “go pink” and include a $1 give-back and a selection of rose-hued desserts will be available at sea beans, with $.50 donated for each dessert sold; $1 from each body treatment at The Spa at Terranea will be donated to breast cancer research. The Spa will also have breast exam cards to raise awareness for self-care. Pink strawberry lemonade and a sunset mule cocktail will be served at the Spa Café, with $.50 and $1 donated for each sold in October. Additionally, on October 24 at 7 pm, the resort will be hosting its monthly full moon yoga under the autumn moon. Participants are asked to wear pink attire, bring a yoga mat, and a $20 contribution for Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach; $1 from each round of golf at The Links at Terranea will be donated to breast cancer research; At marea, 10% of all purchases of jewelry brand Gorjana’s pink power gem bracelets and pink Jellycat stuffed animals will be donated. At pointe discovery, 10% of all purchases of pink Pura Vida bracelets and pink S’well bottles will be donated as well; and for every Archery activity, Terranea will donate $5.

The Ritz-Carlton’s Spa is offering the CBD Healing Massagea tailored experience for those with looking to combat a demanding work week, relentless aches and pains, or tension from a cross-town commute. Konbi is an all day restaurant focused on Japanese style sandwiches with eight seats inside facing an open kitchen. Grab a seat for a full service/dine in experience. Roe Seafood and Chef Arthur Gonzalez Host Dinner Benefitting Habitat for Humanity
Chef Arthur Gonzalez and his Roe Seafood in Long Beach, CA, will host four Los Angeles chefs Dakota Weiss, Vartan Abgaryan, Rachel Haggstrom, and Annabel Cohen for a guest-chef pop-up dinner with all proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity Guatemala. Terranea Resort Hosts Annual Peninsula Olive Celebration
Terranea Resort hosts the annual Peninsula Olive Celebration on Thursday, October 4, 2018. From 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m where you can partake in the pressing of olive oil and olive curing with Terranea’s team of chefs, led by Vice President of Culinary Experiences and Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra. Using olives that will be picked earlier in the morning from nearby Villa Oneiro vineyard & orchard, you will enjoy complimentary tastes of olive oil made from the orchard’s more than 70 Mediterranean varietals. A pop-up marketplace and bar will feature gifts and treats such as pastries, cakes, tapenades, martinis, flavored olive oils, wine from Villa Oneiro, and more, all centered around olives. At 6 pm, you are encouraged to continue the olive fete at the bi-monthly Chef’s Table Dinner, an intimate Farm-to-Terranea dining experience, celebrating locally and sustainably grown and foraged ingredients, prepared by Terranea’s award-winning chefs.
