Adam Sandler’s Four Night Residency at Dynasty Typewriter
Dynasty Typewriter is the city’s newest entertainment venue, offering highly curated comedy and theatrical experiences at the historic Hayworth Theatre in LA’s Westlake district. The company was created with a mission to give comedians and other artists space to create new and immersive show formats, do engaging live podcasts, and give performers the opportunity to bring more production and theatricality to their acts. Creative Directors Jamie Flam and Vanessa Ragland officially opened the doors in January 2018, and since then the venue has offered semi-secret shows starring the biggest and best comedic talents in the business. The venue has hosted sets by the likes of Patton Oswalt, Margaret Cho, Whitney Cummings, Craig Robinson, Bobcat Goldthwait, Rory Scovel, Ron Funches, Dana Gould, Cameron Esposito, Kurt Braunohler, Sasheer Zamata, Kevin Pollak, Ron Lynch, Brett Gelman, Whitney Cummings, Dana Gould, Eddie Pepitone, Sean Conroy, Laura House, Zach Galifianakis, and many more. It’s a rare opportunity for you to share a four-night run with the star in such a friendly, intimate venue. For the first time ever the Friends of James Beard Foundation is headed to Long Beach for a farm-to-table benefit dinner at local favorite, Restauration. Chef Philip Pretty will present a three-course dinner using locally sourced ingredients, mostly from Organic Harvest Gardens, Restauration’s 1,000-square-foot farm where nearly 50% of all their produce is grown. Palm Desert Food & Wine
The 8th annual Pacific Sales Kitchen & Home’s Palm Desert Food & Wine presented by Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa, organized by Palm Springs Life has tastings from the nation’s leading chefs, breweries, and wineries; live cooking demos; cookbook signings with celebrity chefs; and other exclusive dining experiences. Situated in the El Paseo shopping district in Palm Desert, CA, the event is a weekend of the best food and wine in the Coachella Valley and from across the country. The festivities begins with “An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul” at Toscana Country Club featuring Author, TV Host, and Chef Aarti Sequeira and Executive Chef of Toscana Country Club and Cookbook Author Eric Wadlund. This event begins with wine and two hours in the kitchen assisting the chefs as they prepare the gourmet meal, followed by a cocktail reception, and then a four-course Indian dinner.
