Grand Performances
Dubbed the “Best Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series” in Los Angeles, Grand Performances is in its 31st year and brings the DTLA community a range of music, theater and dance shows that offer a peek into new cultures. “Future Disruptors” Premieres at the Comedy Store
An array of young stars from hit Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows, along with other young musical and dance artists, will be performing a concert at The Comedy Store. The original showcase of rising talent is the start of a movement designed to inspire parents, help children find their creative voice, and combat the under-funding of the Arts in schools. The Hideout Opens
STK Los Angeles in W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills, is opening its poolside restaurant, bar and lounge – “The Hideout.” The new concept brings a newly designed restaurant, bar and patio space adjacent to the resort’s pool and WET Deck. The Hideout has shareable plates inspired by the best of Southern California produce with menu highlights including Dijon Grilled Sonoma Lamb Loin with cippolini, Roquefort butter, grilled grapes, and warm arugula; Tea Smoked Free Range Duck with cauliflower, archiote rub, and crispy garlic; California White Seabass with saffron quinoa, chorizo, potatoes, and pickled radish; and desserts like Strawberries N’ Cream featuring a shortbread cookie, white chocolate cremeux and strawberry sherbet, and Coconut Cream with fresh mango compote, passion fruit foam and macaron for dessert. LAMILL COFFEE’s Brunch Pop-Up
Get a sneak peek at the forthcoming Jane Q menu from Chef de Cuisine Jason T. Hall. The vibrant all-day café in Beachwood Canyon is slated to open in July, serving LAMILL specialty drip and espresso coffee, along with house-made pastries and wide range of savory, hearth-fired dishes. Hall will present a first look at Jane Q menu items such as Grits & Eggs with soft poached eggs, heirloom grits, Tennessee country ham, and a sauce made from ham renderings, whiskey, black coffee, cream and figs, and Warm Muffaletta with focaccia layered with mortadella, prosciutto, salami and provolone, finished with an olive and pickled vegetable spread and toasted on the panini press.
