The Eastside Food Festival
The third annual Eastside Food Festival is back at Mack Sennett Studios in Silverlake. For the third year, you can enjoy unlimited food and drinks from LA’s favorite eastside restaurants, watch intriguing panel discussions hosted by Food is the New Rock, learn techniques from local chef food demons, and mingle with fellow LA food enthusiasts. Some of the participating vendors this year include Little Beast, Homestate, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Sticky Rice, Ohana Poke Co, Starry Kitchen as well as newcomers like Buttonmash, Knuckle and Claw, Same Same Thai, Pok Pok, Lord Jones with many more. Wine will be provided by Silverlake Wine Shop, craft beer will be poured by Angel City Brewery, and other drinks will be provided by Our/ Los Angeles Vodka, and Ventura Spirits. The 2nd Annual Off the Hook Seafood Festival
In honor of National Seafood Month, this community fundraising event showcases the city’s best restaurants and chefs with dishes featuring their favorite seafood like oysters, shrimp, sushi, fish and tuna. Enjoy food and drink tastings, beer garden, live music, games, activities and more. There’s also the Santa Monica Seafood Sustainable VIP Lounge, which includes tastings from select, sustainable restaurants, as well as cocktails and preferred seating in a designated area. The Oinkster Celebrates 10 Years

DTLA Oyster Festival
The Oyster Gourmet will gather oyster farmers from around the country for the second annual DTLA Oyster Festival at Grand Central Market. Maple at Descanso Gardens
Chef Joachim Splichal and Patina Restaurant Group debut Maple at Descanso Gardens, which is a sophisticated rustic restaurant. You can grab their weekend brunch by Executive chef Mark Salazar. Front Porch Cinema Free Outdoor Movie Returns to the Santa Monica Pier
The Santa Monica Pier has the return of Front Porch Cinema, a free movie series under the stars. The Pier will transform into cozy front porch environment, providing the perfect setting for a night of movies, food and activities. The series kicks off with “Zootopia” and continues with Jonathan Gold’s documentary “City of Gold” on October 7, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on October 14, “Labyrinth: 30th Anniversary” on October 21 and a bonus screening on October 28 of “Tight Loose,” an extreme ski/snow doc presented by Teton Gravity Research. Unwind on old-timey lawn chairs and watch oceanfront films on a giant inflatable screen with the highest quality HD-projection and line-array sound provided by LA’s premier outdoor movie producers, Eat|See|Hear. Each week features curated cocktails themed to the film in the Cinema Lounge as well as fun and unique on-site activities and entertainment.  “Zootopia” will feature free ice cream for the first 100 people as well as arts and crafts and face painting for the kids. You can bring your own chairs, as only a limited number will be available for rent. The Cinema Lounge offers a cozy bar with curated cocktails from Deep Eddy Vodka, and Boulevard Brewing Company as well as seating before and during the film. Los Angeles Haunted Hayride
