Sparkling Wines Paired with Italy’s Calvisius Caviar at Michael’s on Naples
Celebrate the flavors of Italy at Michael’s On Naples with a tasting of Italian sparkling wines and caviar on the restaurant’s newly expanded Rooftop Lounge. Enjoy a trio of wines from La Montina, an estate winery located in the Lombardy region of Italy, including a Brut, Saten and Rosè. Located in the wine-producing area of Franiciacorta, La Montina is a family-owned winery which adheres to the strict rules of Discipline of the Franciacorta Wines Consortium, the most restrictive when it comes to producing wines using the classical method. La Montina wines will be served alongside a selection of Calvisius Tradition Caviar, the world’s first sustainable caviar.  It takes a minimum of 12 years for the black pearls to mature and the result is large-grain eggs with roe that is homogenous and compact. $20; Monday, 6-8 pm; 5620 East 2nd St, Naples Island; 562.439.7080

Glenfiddich Single Malt Dinner at Tam O’Shanter
Tam O’Shanter is hosting a special dining event featuring a four-course meal created by executive chef Juan Escamilla with select whiskey pairings for each dish from the award-winning Glenfiddich Distillery. Special guest Casey Levinthal of Glenfiddich will be on hand to talk about each pairing and the distillery’s history and craft. The whiskey pairing dinner will include a first course of Roasted Market Beets with baby chard, pickled red onion, bleu cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette, paired with Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch); Second course of Pork Croquette with arugula and black garlic aioli, paired with Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch); The Entrée Course includes Braised Prime Rib Beef Brisket with roasted  yams, swiss chard and bordelaise sauce, paired with Glenfiddich 18 year Old Single Malt Scotch; and a dessert: of Baked Apple Pie with reserve farmhouse cheddar and butterscotch, paired with Glenfiddich 15 Solera Year Old Single Malt Scotch. The Glenfiddich Distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown, Scotland and is currently managed by the fifth generation of William Grant’s descendants. $75; Wednesday, 6:30 pm; 2980 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039; 323.664.0228

The acclaimed company For The Record makes its return to Los Angeles in a new production, For The Record: Scorsese – American Crime Requiem. This new show will bring the legendary filmmaker’s soundtracks to life in a new generation cabaret. For The Record: Scorsese – American Crime Requiem is co-produced by The Wallis and Ad Astra Live, and is made possible by the generous support of David C. Bohnett. The evening will highlight 40 years of Scorsese’s storytelling through films such as GoodFellas, Casino, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street and more. The ensemble cast includes Tony Award-winner John Lloyd Young (Broadway’s Jersey Boys), Tony Award-nominee Carmen Cusack (Broadway’s Bright Star), Pia Toscano (“American Idol”), Lindsey Gort (“The Carrie Diaries”), Grammy Award-nominee B.
