The Tenth Annual White Light White Night
The tenth annual White Light White Night, presented by Walk With Sally will feature a night of of food tastings, beer, wine and cocktails, and special live entertainment. White Light White Night is dedicated to raising funds and friends through a majestic experience of light, love and laughter. The night benefits Los Angeles non-profit Walk With Sally, an organization dedicated to providing free mentoring support programs to children of parents or siblings with cancer. You are encouraged to wear white and hospitality and seating will be provided. In addition to the live music, red carpet, and VIP experience, you will enjoy gourmet bites from over 20 restaurants during the Taste of Los Angeles. Eventrickit Food Market
Eventrockit Food Market is an outdoor food and beverage tasting festival with over 60 culinary creators. Barnsdall Park’s Friday Night Wine Tasting Fundraiser
Taking place on the West Lawn of Frank Lloyd Wright’s stunning Hollyhock House, Barnsdall Park welcome you to sip wine, picnic and watch the sunset at Barnsdall Park’s Friday Night Wine Tasting Fundraiser. Marking its 8th season, the event continues through September 2nd and has music presented by KCRW’s DJ Dan Wilcox. Ongoing partner, Silverlake Wine, curates their fine selections of boutique artisanal wines and local gourmet cheese shop, Say Cheese, is also sponsoring the event as well as specialty food trucks from tacos to ice-cream! This year, Lyft is partners with the Park to provide discounted rides to Barnsdall wine-goers. The Kinney Opens
The Kinney, a fun-loving, beach-centric new boutique hotel located blocks from the boardwalk, has just opened up with 68 guest rooms, spacious Crash Pad suites, The Quad playground, and a year-round heated dipping pool and spa. Bright colors, pop art, and geometric patterns make a bold statement in the guest rooms which feature either one King or two Queen beds, 55” HDTV’s, mini-fridges, and more. Wildwood Ovens‘ Summer Cooking Series
Wildwood Ovens makes wood fired ovens and is offering an exciting Summer Cooking Series in Eagle Rock, which is the only place in SoCal teaching wood fire cooking in real wood fire ovens. This weekend, join in yaakitori workshop with chef Michael Gerard where you will learn to carve up organic free range chickens, separate the parts, and make authentic Japanese Izakaya (bar bites) cooked over “Kishu Binchotan Komaru Charcoal Kushiyaki”, a formal term that encompasses both poultry and non-poultry items, skewered and grilled, on authentic yakitori grills.
