Make Music Pasadena

Public Star Party
Colonel Griffith J. Griffith left money to build a public observatory in Los Angeles because he believed in the transformative power of observation. Since opening in 1935, Griffith Observatory has fulfilled his vision by offering public telescope viewing through the historic Zeiss telescope, historic coelostat (solar telescope), and portable telescopes on the lawn. More people have looked through the Zeiss telescope than any telescope in human history. Knowledgeable telescope demonstrators are available to guide you in observing. Great Horror Campout
This annual horror-themed event is a 12-hour, overnight, interactive horror camping adventure. You can choose your level of engagement when you choose your activities and tent zone. The experience can be an extreme horror adventure or a more mild horror adventure. It’s completely up to you. The third iteration of the Hammer’s biennial exhibition continues to highlight artists working throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. As part of the summer long series, Made in L.A. 2016: a, the, though, only addresses Los Angeles as a center of activity, separated from the global network of art and reveals how artists move fluidly between contexts and respond to their local conditions.
