Public School Celebrates LA Beer Week
Each day next week, different Public School locations will have an onsite competition between three different beers to see which keg “kicks” first. The winning brew will receive placement on Public School’s rotating tap list all summer long. Rock & Brews Celebrates LA Beer Week
The rock-inspired restaurant, which offers a wide selection of craft and international beers, will feature events including a documentary screening, tap takeovers by local breweries and a brewers’ panel discussion. Terrine hosts OX Restaurant’s Chefs
California brasserie Terrine will host OX Restaurant Chefs Greg Denton and Gabrielle Quiñónez Denton for a fire-fueled collaborative pop-up event. In lieu of the regular dinner menu, Terrine Executive Chef/Partner Kris Morningstar and the Denton duo will serve a prix fixe menu of dishes inspired by the OX team’s debut cookbook, Around the Fire, which combines live fire cooking traditions of Latin America with the seasonal philosophy of their Portland, Oregon restaurant. You will also be able to purchase signed copies of Around the Fire on-site and speak with the James Beard Award finalists (2015) and Food & Wine Best New Chefs (2014). Inspired by Around the Fire, you can expect a series of grilled, charred, smoked, and roasted dishes including Coal-Roasted Oysters on the half shell with Chimi-mayo and manchego; Ember-Cooked Prawns with scallions and peanuts; Smoked Beef Tongue with ensalada rusa and sweetbread croutons; and Morcilla Sausage with charred red onions, grilled potatoes, and bacon-sherry cream.
