Engagement Party at Alley Lounge

Alley Lounge plays an important part in my life. Not only were Tyler and I there the night before we became engaged, but they were generous enough to have us celebrate with our Los Angeles friends and family! They have an intimate lounge area perfect for any celebration. We had about 30 people and not only were we excited to celebrate our engagement, but I was thrilled to introduce our friends to our little hideaway that is Alley Lounge. Everyone loved it and put it on their list of places to frequent.

Even if you don’t have a reason to reserve the lounge area, Alley Lounge has a great, chic, atmosphere, a top notch craft cocktail menu, and delicious artisan sandwiches to soak up all the suds. But, if you do have a little gathering, its a great spot to meet. It’s hidden…which means no huge crowds to battle for a cocktail, and it’s intimate, which means you can really enjoy your friends.

On their list of craft cocktails my favorites are the Betty Boop made with Vodka, Elderflower Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Blackberries and the Jalisco Breeze made with Casamigos Silver Tequila, Serrano Chile, Cucumber, Lime, Elderflower, Chili Slice, Splash of Simple. Plus you can’t go wrong with their infused vodka. They have four toasty artisanal sandwiches from neighboring baker, Rockenwagner. Along with the Ham & Cheese Baguette (with thinly sliced Black Forest ham, Muenster cheese and horseradish aioli); there is the Good Ol’ Fashioned Grilled Cheese on sourdough and the two we had at out party, the Turkey & Cheese Baguette with peppered turkey, Muenster cheese and chipotle aioli and the Caprese Baguette made with buffalo mozzarella, tomato and pesto-balsamic dressing.

The beautiful decor at Alley Lounge is by Designer Laura Irvin and includes a dimly lit speakeasy with peacock-blue walls, booths draped in leather, and a white faux rhino head hanging on the wall. Past the metallic beaded curtain is where you will find the plush u-shaped couch, where we had our special gathering.
