The team behind Barbrix and Cooks Country, now opens All’Acqua, (3280 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90039; 323.663.3280), an Italian restaurant with a large menu of Italian staple dishes and a decor that is warm with red accents, steel pipe chandeliers, wooden, exposed beam ceiling, and earthy tones.

Start with Antipasti like Caseficio Gioia burrata artichokes alla romana, rapini pesto, zefiro olive oil; Spinach sformato oyster mushrooms Marsala & chicken liver sauce with shaved parmigiano; or Polpettine alla Norcino the butcher’s meatballs braised in tomato sauce, scarpetta.

Salads include Wood grilled Spanish octopus mixed citrus, shaved fennel, castelvertrano olives, pickled chilis, rosato vinaigrette; and Mixed Chicories curly endive, radicchio, gorgonzola picante, icicle radish, pomegranate.

The Primi section has dishes like Bucatini Cacio e Pepe pecorino, parmigiano, black pepper; Butternut Squash Tortelloni brown butter, crispy sage and pepitas; Ricotta Gnocchi oxtail ragu; Chicken Liver Ravioli balsamic vinegar & brown butter; and Fettuccine al Tartufo black winter truffles, butter & parmigiano.

Their wood fired pizzas include Diavolo mozzarella, sopressata, calabrian chilis & basil; Piemonte mozzarella, broccolini, bagna caudal and white pizzas like Funghi oyster mushrooms, shitake mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, thyme, fontina, sottocenere; Cavolino brussels sprouts, mozzarella, garlic, smoked pancetta, pecorino romano; and Pumpkin Pie butternut squash, taleggio, sage, squash blossoms, parmigiano.

Entrees include Frutti di mare all’acqua pazzo clams, mussels, shrimp & black cod in ‘crazy water’; BBQ lamb chops Tuscan cannellini bean ragu with tomato & sage, mint pesto; Maiale al Latte pork cheeks slow cooked in milk, polenta taragne, pickled red onion-horseradish gremolata; and Rib Eye Steak wild arugula, shaved parmigiano, old balsamico, zefiro olive oil

If you have room for desserts order up Limoncello Budino (Candied Lemon & Rosemary Pine nut Shortbread Cookie); Ricotta-Mascarpone Tart (Chocolate Almond Crust & Candied Orange); or Pear-Brown Butter Crostata (Poached Bosc Pear & Vanilla Bean Gelato)

As for cocktails, they have your classics plus additions like Jack Rose (Laird’s bonded apple brandy, fresh lemon, fresh lime, house made grenadine); Farmers Market Special (persimmon, basil, Crater Lake red pepper vodka, house simple, fresh lime) Oh Mai!!! (El Dorado 12 Year rum, Rhum Clement, fresh lime, Small Hands orgeat, candied coconut); and Fair & Fowl (Eagle Rare bourbon, Gissard creme de peche, house rosemary honey, fresh lemon, lemon bitters).

Open daily, 5:30 pm-midnight, with the bar serving until 1:30 am or until empty.
