The Continental Club

The Continental Club (116 W 4th St., Los Angeles, 90013) opened on February 6 by Ashley Joyce (The Room, Barcopa) and John Lasker. The lounge is a modern speakeasy .

Cocktails are divided into stirred, shaken and ferociously shaken. In the shaken you will find Perfect Manhattan (Rye whiskey, dry and sweet vermouth, orange and Angostura bitters, scorched orange oil); the Rolls Royce (London dry gin, sweet vermouth, Bénédictine and Angostura bitters); and the Boulevard (Bourbon whiskey, Campari, sweet vermouth, orange bitters).  The Shaken section includes the Braly (Bourbon whiskey, Bénédictine, fresh lemon juice, vanilla bean syrup, topped with ginger beer); the Continental (London dry gin, fresh lemon juice, sweet vermouth, yellow chartreuse, absinthe); and the Hiberion (Mezcal, fresh lime juice, sweet vermouth and passion fruit). The ferociously shaken sections includes the Clover (London dry gin, raspberry cordial, fresh lemon juice, egg white, cinnamon bitters); the Sloe Gin Fizz (Sloe gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar, egg white, served long with soda); and the Gilmore (Rye whiskey, fresh lemon, peach liqueur, egg white, Maraska cherry syrup).

So get dressed up and relax downtown. Making a resy is your best bet, so email them. Open nightly from 7 pm-2 am.
