Mud Hen Tavern, (742 N Highland Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90038; 323.203.0500) is opening in place of chef Susan Feniger’s STREET in Hollywood. STREET executive chef and partner Kajsa Alger, along with Susan Feniger, will create an affordable seasonal, gourmet, rustic bar food menu. This means dishes like pumpkin ravioli; chicken & waffles with spicy maple syrup; whisky maple-braised short ribs; and Feniger’s famous black bean burger. The menu is vegan, vegetarian, and meat-lover friendly. Drink-wise, the bar is lead by Morgan Fox (Upstairs II, Pourtal Wine Bar) and consultant Tricia Carr (Providence) and they will be serving up local beers (draft and bottle), international wines, and artisanal cocktails.
Open Sunday-Thursday, 4 pm-midnight, Friday-Saturday, 4 pm-1 am, and Saturday & Sunday brunch ($25/person for all-you-can-eat small plates and $15 for bottomless sparkling cocktails) from 11 am-2 pm.
