Opening this Saturday, Sweet Rose Creamery (826 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405) from restaurateurs Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan and Co-Owner/Executive Chef Shiho Yoshikawa brings the addition of soft serve ice cream with rotating farmers’ market-driven flavors, sweet and savory pastries from Milo & Olive, and coffee from Caffe Luxxe. The new shop also serves as a research and development kitchen, providing the space to experiment with new recipes for Yoshikawa’s celebrated frozen treats.
Milo & Olive’s lead barista Jason Hayes leads Sweet Rose Creamery’s new coffee program, pouring locally roasted coffee from artisan purveyor Caffe Luxxe. Enjoy pour-over coffee or espresso options, served in custom-designed porcelain cups or available to go. To complement the coffee and ice cream selections, the shop also offers a rotating selection of Nathan’s sweet and savory pastries, available until 12 pm daily. The team also plans to offer fresh and frozen yogurts in the coming weeks.
