Elaine’s Bakery & Cafe

Elaine’s Bakery & Cafe (11677 San Vicente Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049) is opening up right above Ron Herman at Brentwood Gardens shopping center. This breakfast, lunch and dinner spot is cooking up a Cali menu with organic ingredients.

For breakfast you can order  assorted pastries like muffins (gluten-free available), croissants (plain, chocolate or almond), Scones (blueberry, chocolate chip, orange or cranberry), danishes, and coffee cake. They also have waffles that can be topped with whipped cream and strawberry jam, bananas & nutella, or even come gluten-free. They have crepes that come with ham & cheese, bananas/strawberries and nutella, or lemon sugar. Egg dishes include items like a breakfast panini (ciabatta, bacon, eggs, romaine, tomato, chipotle aioli), green eggs (spinach and pesto, garlic aioli on a ciabatta (also available as a scramble), and a protein plate (egg whites scrambled with spinach and green onion served with avocado, marinated chicken breast and a green salad).

Lunch and dinner include  sandwiches like Elaine’s Signature Honey Chipotle Chicken (marinated chicken breast, marinated red cabbage, cherry peppers, red onion, provolone cheese, romaine, chipotle aioli on a fresh baguette), Steakhouse Roast Beef (prime tri tip roast, caramelized onion, cheddar cheese, tomato, romaine, horseradish aioli on a fresh baguette), Thanksgiving Panini (sliced turkey breast, cranberry sauce, sliced green apples, gravy, chipotle aioli), and No Mayo Egg Salad (cage-free eggs, celery, red onion, mustard, olive oil, parsley and lemon with spinach and garlic aioli on a baguette). They also have pretty generic salads and plates, along with desserts of cookies and cupcakes (many gluten-free).

Opens September 24 and hours will be 7 am-10 pm daily. Grand opening party is also on the 24th with the red carpet, 6-7 pm and the party 7- 10 pm with hor d’oeuvres, cocktails, and music.
