Racion (119 W. Green St., Pasadena, 91105; 626.396.3090) is serving a Basque menu of bar snacks, tapas to share and raciones to share with dishes like chicken and ham croquettes with honey and goat cheese mousse, salt cod fritters, lamb meatballs and duck sausage stuffed with squid. Plates are all priced under $20 except for the Niman Ranch bone-in ribeye which runs $36 and feeds two. Not too shabby! All their wine is Spanish and they aim to have the most complete Spanish wine list inLos Angeles.
The simple, bistro vibe runs through out with a casual bar area up front. Open Tuesday-Sunday from 6-10 pm.
