Cooks County, (8009 Beverly Blvd., West Hollywood; 323.653.8009) is now open in WeHo and serving up dishes that are highly influenced from LA farmers markets. Decorated with dark brown, leather banquettes, exposed wooden beams, and iron fixtures it’s country chic.
As for food, for brunch enjoy pumpkin pancakes and lunch it’s roasted parsnip soup. Dinner, you can enjoy appetizers like Pacific clams steamed in vermouth, celery root & lovage or order from the snack’s section and munch on Chicken liver crostini pickled persimmons. For dinner they have Chickpea & squash pancakes with purslane & cumin yogurt, Pacific soup with mussles, clams, shrimp & rockfish with wild fennel or Wood-grilled duck breast with brussel sprouts, kabocha squash & almonds. Save room for dessert! They have Chocolate ale cake with hot fudge, broken toffee & stout ice cream and Beignets au chocolat, cinnamon, wildflower honey & chocolate sherbet. (Just to name a few).
