Bäco Mercat (408 Main St., Los Angeles, 90013; 213.687.8808) is making a home in the Old Bank District Downtown. Opening for lunch on Monday, they will serve six versions of bäco, which means it’s part sandwich, taco and pizza. Try the “bazole.” It is a blend of Mexican pozole and ramen broth. They also serve up beer, wine cocktails, house-made sodas called bäco pop, coffee from Handsome Coffee Roasters, and tea from Sugarbird Sweets & Teas. Lunch is served from 11 am-3 pm, and dinner coming November 8th. As of now, they are open only for Tuesday & Wednesday nights from 6- 10 pm.
