Butchers & Barbers (6531 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028; 323.461.1464) is opening Tuesday and is from the Houston brothers (La Descarga, Pour Vous, Harvard & Stone, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s), who are have their hands in the night life world. Like most of their spots, this place looks like it has been here for years. With lightbulbs made from meat hooks and butcher scales hang over the bar, you can order up fare from chef Luke Reyes (The Corner Door, Lucky Duck).

Expect house-butchered, dry-aged côte du boeuf for two, house-cured meats and charcuterie, lamb sausage, and habanero mussels. Joe Swifka (ink.) and Nate Oliver (The Vagrancy Project) are behind the cocktails.
