Steven Soderbergh and Singani Cocktail Pairing Dinner
Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh joins K&L Wine Merchants in hosting a Singani 63 Pairing Dinner. The evening celebrates the aromatic Bolivian spirit securing its rightful place as the newest spirit category in the U.S. after an almost nine-year effort. Having finally succeeded in creating an official category, K&L will welcome Steven to learn about the incredible journey he took to bring this special spirit to the States. National Fried Chicken Day at Soulmate
West Hollywood’s Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant, Soulmate, has added a few crispy new additions to its menu just in time for National Fried Chicken Day. Chef David Joyce’s Crispy Chicken Thighs are brined in buttermilk and garlic paprika oil, served with a lime and garlic aioli available during dinner. Chef David suggests adding Soulmate’s new housemade, cast iron baked Parker Rolls with sour cream & chives, $10, and a refreshing, Weekend in Palm Springs cocktail made with vodka, passionfruit, feijoa, lime, and orange, $18. Trejo’s Tacos Launches Trejo’s Hot Honey Dishes in Time for National Fried Chicken Day
Danny Trejo is taking Fried Chicken to a whole ‘nother level with the launch of his new Trejo’s Hot Honey and two dishes featuring the new sauce available throughout July. Trejo’s Hot Honey ($15) is honey infused with chili peppers for a sweet but mighty kick and will be available for purchase at all Trejo’s Tacos locations. Trejo’s Hot Honey will be featured on two new dishes, Hot Honey Fried Chicken Churros ($11.00) served with crispy fried chicken, sweet and crispy churros, topped with the sweet heat of the Hot Honey and finished with jalapeño peppers, only available at the Hollywood Cantina location, and it wouldn’t be Trejo’s Tacos without a Hot Honey Fried Chicken Taco ($6.50).
