Standard Goods, (7151 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, 90036; 323.965.0600) is a new general store of a different caliber. Think all-American like gray plaid, flannel, nautical stripes from Armor Lux or a weekend bag from Makr. Too bad we’re far from the Hamptons. The goods don’t stop with clothing though. The white dinnerware, lamp, chair, books, or even some apricot jam may catch your eye. As for music, they have records in the back and if you’d like to sample a tune or two, there is a player behind the counter and they’ll put on anything you like.
