I first met Melissa Stone during a Tangle Teezer event and it was an instant connection (you can see she has taken me through huge reinventions). Melissa launched her career as a stylist and educator for Vidal Sassoon after training in London and she is the first American woman to become Sassoon’s Creative Director for salons in Beverly Hills, NYC, and London. You can find her work in Allure, Italian Vogue, People Magazine and she has worked with Vanessa Hudgens, Mel B, and Miley Cyrus.
Melissa has an incredible way to instinctively create style that enhances your features and lifestyle. She is a warm, fun, talented stylist who always greets you with an amazing smile and has an addictive laugh. She offered to style my hair at Jonathan and George Salon in Beverly Hills and I quickly took her up on her offer. Melissa was the first stylist to make me realize my hair’s potential. I have always had stick straight hair with little to no style (It never even held a curl) and she was able to create body, waves, soft curls…anything I could imagine. And even more importantly, they stayed!
Since then, Melissa has been my go-to stylist for blow outs, cuts, and complete transformations. She has taken me from long dark hair to my stomach to a blonde-ombré bob. Not only has Melissa reinvented my hair, she has become a friend, who makes me laugh and I enjoy seeing every time.
