Alimento, (1710 Silver Lake Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026; 323.928.2888) has cured all of you who live in East Los Angeles (and miles from Sotto). The new Silver Lake spot has Sotto’s Zach Pollack serving handmade pasta, smoked pork shank and lots of wine on tap.

The space is a bright, little room full of white and wooden accents. Theres a marble bar and church pews and tables decorated with wildflowers. The menu will change, but as of now, you can expect mackerel conserva with white beans; mortadella in spelt pastry; rye tagliatelle with veal ragù; whole orata with calabrian chiles; and their take on chicken marsala, maccheroncini with chicken livers and marsala.

Open Tuesday-Thursday, 5:30-10 pm, and until 12 am on Fridays & Saturdays. Closed Mondays.
