Beach Nation, (8289 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA; 323.654.0020) is going to be a new spot where you can sit in the sand and order up a cocktail right in the heart of West Hollywood. Beach Nation comes from Thomas Schoos, designer of Herringbone and the upcoming Red O in Santa Monica.
The brunch/lunch menu has juices, salads, snacks (bacon-cheddar pretzel twists), sandwiches (chicken salad sandwiches on pretzel buns), and coffee from San Jose’s Barefoot Coffee. You can get a cold-brew or an espresso with dark chocolate and coconut milk, and beer and wine will arrive shortly pending permits. As for the pastries, they come from Rockenwagner bakery. Sit back in one of their Adirondack chairs and relax with friends to the beach life, and just remember, in WeHo.
