Malibu Pier Restaurant & Bar (23000 Pacific Coast Hwy., Malibu, CA 90265; 310.456.8820) is set to open on May 15, on the Malibu pier, that the Lark Creek Restaurant Group has revamped. With Chef Jason Fullilove (Patina Group) in the kitchen of this white cottage you will find sustainable fish and shellfish — sourced from local fishermen (Coleman Farm, Weiser Family Farm, and Scarborough Farms).

So get ready to take in the view with your dinner. They keep it upscale, beachy with whites and blues, patterned tiles, exposed beams, white walls, a rope chandelier, tufted brown leather booths, a found whale bone by the open kitchen, and two Dennis Hopper pieces.

The menu features dishes like Pacific Coast Uni Deviled Eggs; Baked Stuffed Crab; Malibu Pier Stew with pei mussels, carlsbad clams, striped bass, wild octopus, and saffron pasta pearls; Petrale Sole; and Malibu Rum Cake with coconut meringue, vanilla glaze candied pineapple, and coconut milk ice cream.
