Tapenade

Chef Ressul Rassallat’s Tapenade (11301 W Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064; 310.312.6233) is a hidden gem full of “California Small Plates with Mediterranean influences.” Located on the corner of Sawtelle and Olympic, Tapenade has a menu where I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat first. They have seven different varieties of Brussels sprouts (my favorite) to try. We had the Original with sliced almonds, capers, parmesan, aged red wine vinegar  and one with lamb and goat cheese. From there, we ordered the grilled calamari with chorizo, the ahi tuna tartare, and an entree of boneless short ribs with parmesan mashed potatoes. Overall, everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned.

Make sure to get to Tapenade for a relaxing meal in their beautiful dining room or patio. Plus, with their new happy hour five days a week, you can try their dishes on a discount!

Open for Lunch 11:30 am-2:30 pm, Monday-Friday and for Dinner 5:30-11 pm, Monday-Saturday.
