New Happy Hours in Los Angeles

In the city of Happy Hours, here a few newbies to sink your teeth into:

 

Lazy Ox Canteen

Haus Dessert Boutique
Seven days a week, from 6 pm-midnight, This charming cafe, with Korean-inspired sweets and savories, offers an all-night happy hour, with $6-7 glasses of wine and $6-8 tapas-style dishes, like Shrimp toast; Mini baked clam & shrimp; and a “Giant Galbi Sushi”– a cylindrical dish layered with rice, a glazed short rib patty, and mixed greens. Umamicatessen
Has happy hour from 4-7 pm and includes a new menu with half-price discounts on the hams at Pigg (Johnston mangalitas for $12, La Quercia Berkshire for $8.50), plus all drafts and cocktails from Back Bar for $5 and new dishes, like the (NOB)LT at Cure that substitutes crispy chicken skin for bacon and a short rib slider and bacon-wrapped “Downtown dog” from Umami Burger.

Mercado
This new Santa Monica spot has a happy hour at their bar and communal tables. Monday-Friday from 5-7 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 4-6 pm, your dollar goes pretty far here with their signature margarita for only $5. Carnitas tacos and choriqueso with house-made chorizo are only $6.
